about studio hexar
The name ‘Hexar’ is a reference to the work of one of nature’s most efficient pieces of architecture: the honeycomb. It makes use of modularity, and the space efficiency of the hexagon, whose form fits the most area within the least perimeter. From a bee’s perspective, that means storing more honey in a larger volume while spending less energy building a structure to contain it. It is this kind of resource and energy efficiency that we at Studio Hexar strive for.
We’re constantly on the lookout for new, recyclable and renewable, materials and innovative construction methods that emit fewer greenhouse/gases. We want to do our part to make sustainable architecture and renewable energy sources more accessible to everyone.

Malisha received her Charter from the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects in 2014, and has over 20 years of experience in the field of architecture. She is also an International Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and an International Associate member of the American Institute of Architects. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of West of England, UK, and is a product of the City School of Architecture and Ladies’ College, Colombo
